this is nie and her sweet family. i have already mentioned their horrible plane crash. they will be recovering for months and months, so designmom has created a nIE silent auction. there will be a plethura of fantastic things to purchase to help this beautiful family out. a couple of my wipee cases will be included:

2) Following the close of the auction, I will contact the winner
(make sure your comment bid includes an email address or link

this is my momma's latest email to me.

don't you wish you had my mom?

a letter to sweden

dearest aunt kelly,

as your first unofficial niece,

i feel obliged to tell you how spoiled you are.

my mum has been sharing your adventures as an au pair

in sweden with me, and i just fill with envy

thinking of your experiences.

i often think of your visit to missouri and long

for you to come back. will you visit me when

you come home and spoil ME like you did last time?

i had so much fun with you!

do you like my new jeweled hair flower that mum

made, or do you think it is too big?

mum adores it's size, while dad is just sick

about it.

i looked so pretty for church on sunday,

just like a lady should.

i have to tell you that my mum has copied

your jewelry fashion. she has found

THE earrings and wears them constantly.

how silly is she?

last night, brother would not stop screaming

in his crib, so dad brought him into our room

late at night. we decided to all snuggle in bed and watch a movie at 11 pm.

typical of brother to steal my mum and dad time.

we finally had an ideal saturday for Mr. Pruett.

DOING ABSOLUTELY NOTHING.

it consisted of:

*pajamas till 4:00

*lots of blankets & pillows on the living room floor

*olympics, including: table tennis, 

sychronized swimming, and running

*top ramen for lunch made by the mayor himself

* and finally, the park & gardening at 5 pm

the only thing i accomplished that was worth while, 

was preparing my lovely salad for lunch. after top ramen, 

i needed some real food, so i made my favorite salad.

i have a confession. 

i flip through tabloids while i'm in line at the grocery store. 

sometimes i even purposely get in a longer line, just so i have more time to 

see hollywood fashion. and every once in a while, i might even buy one. 

i know, i'm bad. i can't help it, and it drives Mr. Pruett nuts. 

BUT, i saw a new fad, that i just couldn't pass up. 

katie holmes was wearing her husband's jeans (with an atrocious sweater might i add.) nonetheless, i LOVED the look and tried it with Mr. Pruett's jeans. 

can you believe i actually pulled it off? or at least i think i did. 

i wore them to class today and felt so sexy in my hubby's jeans.

 i thought about him the whole time of course:)

hey, at least i have one more pair of jeans that fit my non-pre-pregnancy weight yet body.

packages and such

dearest jennifer,

i received your packages today full of darling children's clothes.

i had fond memories as i sifted through each piece, thinking of my dearest niece, Cora Bella.

then there were Perry clothes. i couldn't help but imagine that cute chubby behind of hers filling out those pants.

i am so elated to have more clothes for the girl. 

i cannot believe you are actually done having children.

you have done well my sister, and i appreciate the hand-me-downs.

i miss you more than words can say...

  

       

you know school has begun when:

1. there are backpacks hanging on doorknobs

 

2. your husband's laptop is not anywhere to be found

3. you actually have to set an alarm for the morning

4. your husband walks through the door with a 

backpack on his shoulders

         

5. your nephew has on his new kicks

                                            

today was mr. cole's first day of kindergarten.

he asked me every half hour, if his bus was here yet.

he is a great dad and probably the hardest working man i know.

       i am so glad that we moved next to him and his family.                       

                                            

* my thoughts have been distracted by a recent tragedy. 

my blogger idol, NIE was in a plane crash this last weekend with her husband. 

they are severely burned and have a long recovery ahead of them. 

she has been an inspiration to me as a wife, mother, and woman. 

she and her family are in my prayers.

hooray for cloth diapers

our cloth diapers are finally here!

i've been thinking about cloth diapers for a while now and have decided to make the switch due to our new financial situation...aka... we poor.

i'm also starting to feel a little more "green" due to my BFF kelly (who i will introduce soon.)

the boy was really excited and kept pointing and

saying, "new diapers."

we'll see how they work...so far, so good.

keeping my fingers crossed for my budget and the environment.

hooray for soft cloth diapers in fun colors.

happy birthday to a brave woman, a magnificant mother, a hilarious lady, and a fun friend.

i love you mom.

i love living with my mom now. she is so non-intrusive and an amazing nanie.

for her birthday, we had her favorite: brownies and ice cream with hot fudge. tomorrow we will have another birthday dinner: homemade burgers and milkshakes.

He was found under the covers of his bog boy bed reading a book all by himself.

Mrs. Pruett decided to join him for a little story time.
