letters to sweden

dearest kelly,
i thought about you as i studied in the
halls between classes today.
i like to study in the hallway when i don't have to
work too hard, so i can people watch as well.
sometimes, the library just doesn't cut it, ya know?

i contemplated long and hard about these:

your lovely recommendation of a rain boot.
i chose the lilac ones and have fallen deeply in love with their appearance.
 there is one problem though.
i have to confess my buyers regret because they look absolutely horrible on me! i am way too short for these long, tall, beauties. and for the price, i just can't wait for the right outfit to complement them.
i regret having to share this news with you, for i know how much you adore hunter rain boots.

there is a happy ending however.
i splurged on these thangs in the same order and have no regret there. my love for hunters will still endure.
i call them my house shoes, but i
secretly wear them elsewhere also.

i hope you will continue to personal shop
for me in the future.
you are fabulous at it regardless of this
particular situation.
thanks for your fabulousity friend.
i love you!

affectionately yours,
shay

4 words to omaha

dear cousin,
4 words:

and so does this girl.

           i only have one complaint:
where is a comment section?
you must add one so i can praise all your posts!

your toothless aunt C informed me that you are to visit soon.
i can't wait! i have been craving some kara time.

do you like my new halloween door decor?
i saw the idea in a magazine and they were selling for 80 bones.
can you believe how outrageous that is?
i made mine for about 6 bones.

i so enjoyed conference today! i needed a spiritual uplift and got
what i was looking for.
not only was i gratified spiritually, but fashionably as well!
did you see Elaine S. Dalton's shirt? i thought of you the moment my eyes saw the black bows adorn her collar bone. this isn't the shirt, but it is the lady. i will search long and far for a picture in case you missed her talk. she was so classy and feminine.

i hope you had a peaceful conference sunday and that all is well with your new job. do tell all about it. i love you and can't wait to tickle your neck...

visit kara here

a rodeo and a little blood

after watching a session of conference,
we ventured out to our local kid rodeo that
our neighborhood saddle club was throwing.
annette brought the boys along as well.
the following was involved:

donkeys
pigs
horses
goats
cowboy boots
hamburgers

reade enjoyed a donkey ride from "pepe"
while
kavi inhaled hawaiian punch

and
cole was busy pig-chasing

on another note,
the boy endured his first real busted lip
yesterday at the park.
it just so happened that i was camera-in-hand.

a full 2 minutes later,
this was him:

my crazy sister

you know you have a sister like mine if she:
a. cuts your daughter's hair without your permission.
b. has an O when she black lights her bathroom.
(yes, she turns off the light and looks for pee. it glows in the dark. with 3 boys in
the house, let me tell you... places you never imagined.)
c. eats cookies for breakfast.
d. begs your child to pull out his loose eyelashes.
e. buys your children fabulous clothes.
f. can whip up a delicious meal without a recipe.
g. has an adorable family.
h. almost pees her pants while watching the office re-runs with you.

i. has a gorgeous, cozy home that you adore.
and i. brings me to a new segment called:

corners of a lovely home.
starring: the cruz house

the hearth of the jen's house.
