the countdown begins

one week from today,
i will be in austin.
for the next 7 days i will post the
7 reasons why i cannot wait:

thamnak thai

can you say Y-U-M ?
i can't describe how much i miss my favorite thai restraunt.
the mussaman curry is divine:
followed closely by the pad thai.
food O just thinking about it.
even better than the food, is the people i share it with:
you know who you are.
in one week, you are mine!

other events from the past two days include:

          laundry, laundry, & more laundry
while watching project runway
david won't admit it, but i think he loves the show.
at least i have handsome helpers
*note* kavi's only wearing one sock.
i think i might have a OCD child.

the boy watches surf's up
and learns the word awesome.

making cookies for family night

  eating cookies for family night

cleaning the kitchen in my nursing house dress.
yes it has slits, and i won't tell you where.
my friend lisa so generously gave it to me after
i told her about my love for house dresses.

oatmeal & strawberries for lunch with 3 cute
boys in the garage
after playing with dirt & rocks & such.

*one sock rule*

.  the re-beginning of recovering this hideous chair.

shout out to carlos who housed it in his garage for
3 months without me touching it.
p.s. i know you read my blog and love it.

and now i must go continue watching the office in bed
with Mr. Pruett.
our second favorite past time.

a play and a sunday dessert

who loves annette?

we do!

annette scored some les miserables tickets to an outdoor amphitheater,

and for some crazy reason gave them to us.

brandon even graciously offered us their gift card to outback steakhouse.

nice huh?

Mr. Pruett and i finally had a night out on our own.

the drive was beautiful,

the conversation; deep,

the food; yummy,

and the play; wet.

although it rained , we enjoyed the performance.

my favorite quote of the night from Mr. Pruett:

"thespians are never normal."

and now to my sunday dessert:

today we talked about the plan of salvation in relief society. someone said: "if i was satan and wanted to destroy salvation, i would target the women. the woman is the center of the family. let's make them feel insecure, bad about themselves, and lower their self-esteem. let's tempt them with worldliness and self-centeredness."

the discussion went on, but i really enjoyed this thought. next time i think about feeling bad about myself, i'll sock it to him.

a letter to galveston; well i guess austin

dearest auntie noel,

please come pinch our bums.
let's make it a date.
how about NOV 7?

how was your drive to austin?
we are so glad you evacuated like a good girl.
how scary to be amidst a real life hurricane.
we are glad you are safe.

we can't wait to see our auntie in nov.

will you play with us?
and tickle us?
and spoil us?
and make us laugh?
and nap with us?

oh, and play with our mommy?
she misses you most dearly.

we love you.
have fun in austin.

love paisley & kavi

the early bird catches the worm

i woke up early this morning.
if you know me, you know this is a rare occurrence.
blessing come from arising early:

blessings like: watching your daughter sleep just like her daddy;
with paci close at hand of course.

while i was taking my first exam of the semester,
the girl was happily jumping away.

other events of the day:

bathing with the boy-always a joy

pretending to watch smallville with the hubby

getting my haircut at melissa's house while enjoying some long due girl talk

dreading studying for my next exam on friday

the devil: a photo essay

the end.

note: i was not here to witness this, hence the happening.
i got these pictures from asking him what happened.
he was more than glad to show me.
that's my boy hitting the terrible 2's.

also:

do you like my new background and header?
much thanks to mr. pruett and his hard work.

don't worry, he was paid in full.

a letter to omaha

dearest cousin kara,
as i got gussied up for church today, i thought about you.
i thought about how beautiful you are,
how talented you are,
how creative you are,
how grossly hilarious you are,
and most of all, what a great sense of style you have.
all this pondering brought me to the conclusion that you must start a blog.

NOW.

please cick here to do so.

with love,
your affectionate cousin,
